PRESS RELEASES
This paid article was rejected publishing by
the "Daily Labor" newspaper, the most
circulated newspaper in Bulgaria, on 5th October,
2005. The reason given was that it violates the
law of personal information. As you can read in
the text, the message does not involve any personal
information, except only for business telephone
numbers of our officers. The concluded discussion
with the Commission of protection of personal information,
interrelated with the Ministry Council, and the
attorney statement, sent by us, prove that business
telephone numbers of officers are not classified
as personal information; the newspaper did not let
us advise the Bulgarian citizens to express their
civil position on a key security aspect.

The Decision of the Parliament of Republic of Bulgaria
concerned with placement of foreign military bases
on the territory of our country is an undisputed
fact.
However, in the bilateral debate that is being led
currently;
THE BULGARIAN NATIONAL INTEREST has to be defended.
It will be a result of a few major clauses in the
bilateral contract that determines the status of
the foreign military contingent, located on the
territory of the country. One of the clauses has
to state:
Whether Bulgaria will keep its right to permit every
military mission, performed by other foreign military
base on the territory of the country.
